As of today, there are over 1.9 million internally displaced people in Iraq, and more than two million refugees that have escaped to neighboring countries. According to the UN Development Programme, one-third of the Iraqi population now lives in poverty. Basic necessities, such as water, food, and electricity are not readily available, and hospitals lack basic medical supplies.
The International Bridges Volunteer program promotes Peace Building, Human Rights, Sustainable Development Projects, and International Commercial Arbitration through Volunteerism by strategically placing motivated and hardworking candidates in Iraq.
Our Volunteer positions typically last 2-3 months. It should be noted however, that timelines are dynamic, and can vary depending on the mission the position is associated with.
